BUYING INFO for
paintings (and other items):
-If you are interested in a painting, simply click on its thumbnail
image, to view the larger artwork image on the next page and the
paintings details: size, price, media and whether it is framed or
not. (The “size , refers to the original painting, not to the
frame).
-For commissioning a new painting or portrait:
A non-refundable
deposit of 50% is required before commencement of the
work - the remaining balance being due on completion. Once
completed, you will see the work and once you are satisfied, and the
remaining balance has been received, the portrait will be dispatched
to you by a secure method. If you are not satisfied with the result,
I will keep the original and the non-refundable deposit, and you
will not pay the remaining fee.
-The right is reserved to photograph all work for private portfolio
and to use any unsold commissioned work for resale, exhibition,
advertising, etc. Images of sold commissioned portraits, will only be used for
promotional purposes with the express permission of the purchasers.
FRAMING:
-Please, keep in mind that the “price” of paintings, does not include the framing
cost.
If you choose to have the painting shipped with a frame, there will
be an extra charge, that depends upon the size of the painting and
the price/ style/quality of the frame. Framing in Cyprus is not as
expensive as in many other countries, so this is usually not a big
addition to the price. But do bare in mind, that if you choose to
have the painting sent with a frame, this implies an extra charge in
the shipping cost, since the weight will be greater.
Interesting detail: the paintings that are painted with oil or
acrylics on stretched canvas, are ready to hang with no framing
needed, since they are usually painted on all sides for a finished
look. You can still have them framed if it is your choice, but you
don’t have to!
SHIPPING:
-The shipping cost is paid by the buyer.
I can not include in this site, specific values for
the shipping cost, for anything other than the prints and books,
since there are many options to be considered, i.e. the weight of
each item, the shipping location and the preferred shipping method:
for example, an item can be shipped with International courier
companies, such as FedEx, DHL etc., or with regular snail mail. The
costs and delivery dates vary greatly, so this is something that can
be decided by each individual buyer.

PAYMENTS:
-Now you can pay with Paypal as well.
Payments
can
also be done by Bank Transfer
or a cheque- under certain circumstances. (Send an email for details). After I have
received your payment, you will be notified by email and I will
proceed in sending the work.
The primary currency of
www.fanitsa-petrou.com, Online gallery, is the Euro. If you have any queries please send
an email.
RETURNS:
-Clients are able to buy art, knowing that if they
decide not to keep their purchase, they may return it within 3 days
of receipt for an exchange or they will be reimbursed for the full
value of the painting, less shipping costs.
-The following conditions apply when returning items:
i) I must be notified by email, before returning the artwork.
ii) The money will be refunded AFTER the artwork is received in an undamaged condition.
iii) The artwork is to be shipped via a reputable courier back to me
within 3 days of receiving it. (as shown in the post office stamp or
courier receipt)
LICENSING:
-Some of
the artworks presented here are offered for licensing. If you are
interested in licensing one of my paintings or illustrations, please
contact me for details.
